- RANGER BELTS
-
-
- We have made these same belts for over 30 years. Each
belt is hand cut with a draw gauge from 9-10 oz domestically
tanned "English bridle" leather bends, which make for
extremely durable strapping. This leather is actually tanned
and finished for the horse bridle industry. This vegetable tanned
leather is quite expensive, but worth the difference. Each strap
is worked through 7 steps before it's attached to a solid brass
buckle using solid brass rivets. Color choice is dark brown,
medium brown, burgundy, chestnut, and black. We offer the ranger
belts in two widths. Custom ranger belts for any buckle you
may have is our specialty. It is necessary to send the buckle
set to us.
The story goes that the first of these belts originated with
the Texas Rangers. As you can see in the photo, a narrow billet
strap is hand stitched to a wider base strap. A solid brass screw
rivet allows the buckle to be removed. We offer the Ranger belt
in a plain style that has an accent line parallel to the edge
and in a hand tooled version where the wider portion only is
tooled. We try to keep rangers made ahead in dark brown only,
but will make one in any of the five colors on request. All
the belt colors can be seen on the one
inch belt page.

- BELT SIZE
Please determine belt size by measuring a currently used belt.
Pants waist size is no longer a reliable way to determine belt
size.
-
- ALL BELTS ARE MADE TO ORDER
- SIZE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. PLEASE MEASURE. NO
RETURNS.
Measure from point "A" on the buckle to the most used
hole on your current belt. It might not be the middle hole.
This measurement is usually 2 to 4 inches bigger than your pants
waist size.
Point "B" on the new belt will be the middle of 5 holes
(or loops on some styles).
